According to reports, 17-year-old Graham Ivan Clark, 22-year-old Nima Fazeli and 19-year-old British citizen Mason Sheppard were arrested and accused of selling personal information and committing illegal computer hacking.
Tried as an adult
The prosecutor’s office shared that one of the hackers, Graham Ivan Clark, was wanted for 30 different crimes and that despite him being under the age of 18, he would be treated as an adult during his trial under state law.
It was identified on July 15 that the Hackers had infiltrated into the social media accounts of names such as former US President Barack Obama, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Tesla founder Elon Musk, Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian. The hackers had also made social media posts under the names of these people.
In addition, it has been announced that hackers, who have been reported to have been involved in the highest profile internet security incident of recent years, have also made more than $100,000 on Twitter, with the promise of paying $2,000 to every person who sends $1,000 to an unknown Bitcoin address.
